The speed required for Classes 1,2,3,4 &amp; 5 was the speed set by BRC for their 80cm Horse Trials (435mpm). The speed required for Class 6 was the BRC 90cm Horse trials speed (450mpm).
The distances were measured over the shortest routes that can safely be ridden. There were options longer route options at some fences. The courses at Geldeston makes it hard but not impossible to make the times at the speeds given. By using the speeds set by BRC for their competitions gives riders the chance to get an idea of the speed required at qualifiers. For others not interested in that it makes no difference as everyone is scored the same.

		<description>Lovely day, well supported.  The time must of been a bit too fast as on looking at the results there was only a couple of people inside the time and one on time.</description>
