What the committee have been discussing

Towards the end of each year, we look at our calendars and set event dates for the next year.
We try to pay particular attention to other clubs and venues, so as not to clash event dates, as it is extremely difficult to alter an event date once set and advertised.
For our future events, the committee discuss past events to see what we can improve on, and we always take into account the feedback from our competitors throughout the year.

At our recent meetings, discussions have been mainly about the new BRC Membership portal where our members will now join our riding club through this new website. This has taken several weeks to get implemented.

Sadly, this year, we have had to increase our the club membership fees, because BRC have again increased their fees, and whilst in previous years we have not increased alongside the BRC, this year we have no alternative.  We appreciate that general cost of living expenses have risen, along with horse feed and bedding, and we’ll do our best to keep entry fees sensible so that our Members can continue to enjoy attending our events and enjoying our shared hobby.

Probably boring to most, but also at this time of year, we book our caterers, judges, paramedic – lot’s to sort out to ensure a smooth running event year.

Training is on our agenda, and we are in discussion to get some dates firmed up.

We are always looking for new committee members, if you find you have a little time to offer the club. Get in touch with one of us, and we’ll talk you through what’s expected, then you can decide if you’d like to come onboard.
