CLUB NEWS, EVENTS, REPORTS
We are starting our calendar with some training at Broads Equestrial Centre. Jacki Hagan is offering flat work / dressage training on Sat 15th Feb – ‘what the judge is looking for’. And then the following weekend at Humberstone, Gt Yarmouth, we have Lee Wright offering show jumping training on Sat 22nd Feb, and again SJ training on 14th March.
Date for our annual Quiz evening is to be advised. It should take place in Feb or March.
Our first competition of the year will be indoor dressage on Sunday 29th March. Lead rein, Intro, Prelim and Novice tests. To be held at Humberstone, Gt Yarmouth. Watch our events and Facebook page for the schedule. Remember, everyone is welcome to ALL our events. Members do receive discounted entry fees, and access to our training.
It won’t be long before the darker winter days are behind us, and we can look forward to the XC Hunter Trial on 26th April at Geldeston, Beccles. There will be classes starting at 60cm, then 70 & 80cm, plus pairs classes. This event will include Eland Qualifiers.
This year, we are holding our Showing Show earlier than June – so Sunday 3rd May. Classes will include Working Hunter, in-hand and Ridden showing, and Utility and Fun classes.
The following weekend, 10th May, we hold our first Fun Day show with Show jumping and Dressage. A second Fun Day on Sunday 7th June, a third on 30th August (date TBC), and a fourth on 6th Sept
Another newby to our diary this year – Le Trec Training and a competition. The first training session and lots of fun on Sat 16th May, and then test your skills at the competition on Sunday 5th July where you can also enter Dressage too. A second chance to train and have some fun with our Le Trec equipment on Saturday 22nd August.
Sat 20th June – Clear round show jumping and/or dressage. Come along and do both or just one discipline.
Sunday 12th July we are hosting the Area 14 Show jumping & Style Qualifier event, to be held at Geldeston Hall.
Fun on 26th July with an Eventer Challenge, and on Sunday 20th Sept come along to our One Day Event – but – you don’t have to enter all 3 disciplines. We will take entries for just dressage, or just XC, or a combination of SJ & XC – lots of options and classes.
As we move towards the end of our eventing year, we have our 2nd XC Hunter Trial at Geldeston Hall on Sunday 4th October.
And our final event of 2020 will take place at Humberstone, Gt Yarmouth – Xmas Show jumping fun on Sunday 6th December.
Friday 21st November is TBC – but proposed date for our AGM & Prize Giving. We are looking at different venues and formats for this evening – watch our news feeds for details.

BRC AREA 14 CHAIRMANS TROPHY RESULT
The club is often represented at BRC Area 14 Qualifiers by teams of four. The competitons cover all disciplines. As well as the qualifiers there is an Area only competition at each event and teams are awarded points towards the Chairmans Trophy. (In fact teams can enter the Area only competition if they prefer not to compete in a qualifier that may require them to travel further afield for the Championship). There is a Chairmans Trophy for Seniors and Juniors.
