What a great start to the season. Both Senior teams jumped well.
The Butterflies jumped first. Maddy and ‘Mystique’ rode a double clear as did Emma and ‘Little Irish Magic’. Steve and ‘Milly’ were clear in the first round but picked up 4 faults in the second. Sam and ‘Rambo’ picked up twelve faults in the first round but then went clear in the second round.
The Bees also went well with Lucy with ‘Polly Whispers’, Sam with ‘Foreigner’, Davina with ‘Hugo Boss’, and Louise with ’Coolsan Curley’ all produced double clears in the first two rounds.
It was a four way jump off between the two Beccles and Bungay teams and teams from Colne Valley and High Fenn.
The Butterflies won the jump off with Sam riding ‘Rambo’, Steve and Emma all going clear. Maddy at her first qualifier did well and picked up just four faults in the jump off so was the discard score.
The Bee team saw Sam riding ‘Foreigner’ and Davina jump clear in the jump off with Lucy picking up four faults and Louise eight. Louise became the discard score and the team were the fastest four faulters to take second place.
Colne Valley were third with High Fenn taking fourth.
Junior Report by Helen Regan – Junior Team Manager
Two junior teams entered the Novice Show Jumping Qualifier. Our team and a team from High Fen.
Our team consisted of Georgia Wright (Pumpkin Pie), Imogen Sheldrake (Glenvilla Belle), Elle Mitchell (India Moonslate) and Shannon Harrison (Fernyknap Question Mark).
All four performed magnificently with all jumping double clears securing first place. Many thanks to Lee Wright for doing the course walk with the girls.
We have received the invitation to attend the Championships in Hartpury so will once more be representing Area 14 at the Winter Championships.
