Prelim Champions Julie Frost & 'Horse Heaven Rambo' with judge Carole Futter
The Centaur Trust Unaffiliated Winter dressage league 2013-2014 ended on Sunday 2nd March and Beccles & Bungay RC members enjoyed great success.
Julie Frost and ‘Horse Heaven Rambo’ were runaway winners of the Prelim League finishing with a points total of 53. Reserve Prelim Champion went to another club member, Marie Owen riding ‘Unico Valentino’ who ended the season on a points tally of 31.
The Novice league was a more closely fought contest between BBRC member Alison Rushmer and ‘Maggie May’ and Nikki Strachen on ‘Jim Bean’. Ali and ’Maggie’ triumphed in the ended finishing on a score of 56, just 2 points ahead of Nikki.
Many other club members took part in the league over the season. In the Prelim league Amanda Talbot (La Diosa), Alice Bellamy (Emillion Unique) and Julie Long (Kees) finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.
In the Novice league Susannah Close (Prince Albert) came 3rd and Sally Payne (The Woodcutter) came 5th and Julie Long (Kees) came 6th.
Julie’s results are excellent as she competed in one Prelim and one Novice class throughout the season and had to consistently produce good results to finish so high in both leagues.
