The BRC ‘roadshow’ has been re-scheduled to the 12th November 2013. It is being held at Grange Hotel, Thurston, nr. Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, IP31 3PQ commencing at 7pm.
As before the idea of the roadshow is to give members the chance to raise any issues regarding how and what the BRC provides the amateur rider and what the future holds.
You are invited to attend and get your voice heard OR if you prefer then let a club representative raise the question on your behalf. For us that representative will be our Chair Marcia Fenwick so please direct your question to her on mf.geldeston@btinternet.com
Below is a copy of the invitation circulated from BRC HQ. There is a survey they would like members to complete. If you have not already submitted your copy please take the time to fill it in. It is very simple and will give a clear view of what the members are getting from BRC and gives you a chance to highlight any matters that you feel need addressing. This is a great chance to have your say. Replies required by 17th October.
LOOKING AT THE FUTURE OF BRITISH RIDING CLUBS
The BRC Road Show is coming to Area 14. This is your chance to find out more about the future of amateur riding in the region.
Sarah Phillips from BRC Head Office will visit our area on 12th November 2013 at the Grange Hotel, Thurston, nr. Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, IP31 3PQ, at 7 pm. The last visit was in 2010. The meeting will be hosted by Area 14 Liaison Committee but all Riding Club members are warmly encouraged to attend on this occasion. This is a rare opportunity to bring up any issues of national or local interest regarding Area 14 matters, for instance: types and availability of training, rules, competitions, dealings with officials, Health & Safety and first aid, participation, qualifiers, finances, running a club, relationship with head office/BRC. Members can ask their club representatives to raise questions or come along in person.
If you would like to attend, please email area14@cardolan.com by 1st November with your name and club, and any questions you would like to raise. It would be a help to have an idea of likely questions before the meeting to make best use of the time available. In addition, please take two minutes to fill in this survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3R5NNLF Many thanks.
