It gives me great sadness to report the loss of both Pingu and Daisy within the space of a few days.
Pingu was bought for Georgia at the end of summer 2013 and was competing regularly at Hunter Trials and hunting with the Waveney Harriers. Unfortunately after jumping out of her paddock and charging back to her stable last December she was very lame and unfortunately remained so, with several problems and three different insurance claims later and a fourth one imminent it was decided the kindest thing would be to put her to sleep on Tuesday 9th December.
In September 2013, Charlotte bought Country Daisy as a new project. Daisy was a six year old which had been backed earlier that year. She was a very pretty mare with a very kind eye and loved a fuss. Charlotte bought her on slowly and Georgia did some training sessions, a bit of dressage, pony club rallies and camp and was part of the junior horse trials team.
Very sadly it became apparent all was not right with her and she was suffering with neurological problems causing her to be out of balance. With investigations at Rossdales she was diagnosed as a wobbler and no guarantee of a healthy future and was unrideable. Therefore with already heavy hearts the decision had to be made for her also to be put to sleep on Saturday 20th December.
