It is with much sadness that we inform members that Dolly and Anna were both put to sleep in October. Dolly (Idole Des Chauans) was a regular member of junior teams with Imogen placing individually and in the team at the winter dressage championships and competing in the winter show jumping championships. She was dogged by soundness problems and having slipped a foal in the summer of 2013 she had a year off to see if her soundness could be recovered, it was not to be.
Anna (Auriga Anastasia) was with us for just a year jumped a double clear for the junior team with Lydia at Hartpury. At 21 we knew we would be on borrowed time and it was no surprise to find navicular causing her problems once we started competing outdoors in 2014. She was a perfect schoolmaster and Lydia learned so much from this lovely if slightly nutty mare. She and Dolly had a lovely summer out together and were put to sleep together.
