Beccles and Bungay RC junior team represented Area 14 at the Combined Training Championships. There were twenty two teams competing in what turned out to be a very close contest.
Due to unfortunate circumstances they competed as a team of three.
Charlie Fairchild & 'Charlie'
Charlie Fairchild (Charlie) rode a Prelim 7 and finished with an excellent score of 26 and was first in her arena.
Sharnah Lee (Waveney Dinah) also rode the Prelim 7. She finished with a score of 35.5 and was tenth in her arena.
Emma Taylor (Hugo) rode the Novice 24 test. She finished eighth in her arena with a score of 32.9.
Llandudno RC won the competition with a final team score of 11. There were two teams that finished on a score of 12. However as the fourth rider score was then taken into account. The fact that Beccles & Bungay only had three riders meant they were given third place with Ackworth & District RC taking second.
Charlie Fairchild finished third individually. An excellent team and individual success.
Beccles & Bungay RC junior team also represented Area 14 in the Eventer Challenge Championship.
Eighteen teams took part with Beccles and Bungay finishing in seventh place with a team score of 31.4. Malton & District RC won with a team score of just 18.
The team consisted of Connor Sharpe(Milly), Imogen Sheldrake (Glenvilla Belle),
Sharnah Lee (Waveney Dinah) and Georgia Wright (Pumpkin Pie).
Junior Eventer Challenge Team
Alice Abel & Seafield Peddlar
Alice Able (Seafield Park Peddlar) rode as an individual and was brilliantly successful finishing second out of 101 competitors.
All that attended had a great time with tremendous team spirit. Thank you to Helen Regan for making the arrangements and to the family and friends who supported the teams.
